Dr. Wright is a native of California. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, he pursued a medical degree at the same institution. Dr. Wright completed a pediatric residency at the University of Colorado and a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Wright then joined the Children's Heart Clinic in 1986.
Dr. Wright is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He also serves on numbers committees at Children's Hospitals and Clinics including the Children's Hospital Foundation Board of Directors. Dr. Wright is also a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota.
Special clinical interests include childhood lipid (cholesterol) abnormalities, invasive and non-invasive diagnostics and cardiac intensive care as well as all aspects of general pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Wright and his wife have 3 grown children and live in suburban Minneapolis.
