Dr. Moga is a native of Minnesota. After receiving a Bachelor of Science at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota, Dr. Moga attended the University of Illinois Medical School in Peoria. He completed a general surgery residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His residency programs included cardiothoracic surgery at Ohio State University and pediatric cardiac surgery at Children's Health Care also in Minneapolis. Dr. Moga also completed a pediatric cardiac surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.  He joined the Children's Heart Clinic in 2000.

Dr. Moga is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery and general surgery. He is a member of the American Board of  Thoracic Surgery, the Midwest Pediatric Cardiology Society and the Hitchcock Surgical Society. He also serves as a member of several committees at Children's Hospitals and Clinics.

Dr. Moga and his wife live in Minneapolis.
