Dr. Burton is a native of New York. After receiving a BS at Cornell University, he completed Medical School at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University. Upon completion of Residency in Pediatrics at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago Illinois, Dr. Burton did his fellowship in pediatric cardiology/ electrophysiology at Children's Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, DC and at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.
Dr. Burton then practiced at the St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, as the Director of Electrophysiology before joining the Children's Heart Clinic in 1991.
Dr. Burton is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. He is a member of the Heart Rhythm Society and The American College of Cardiology. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Burton is the President of the Children's Heart Clinic and serves as a member of several committees at Children's Hospitals and Clinics.
Special clinical interests include arrhythmias, electrophysiology, pacemakers, catheter ablation of arrhythmias, cardiac intensive care as well as all aspects of general pediatric cardiology.
Dr. Burton, his wife and his two children live in Minnetonka.
