Since its beginning, The Children's Heart Clinic has performed more than 4400 open heart surgical procedures and over 7000 total cardiac surgical cases.  We average more than 225 heart catheterizations each year.  In 2005 alone we saw more than 8000 patients in our clinic locations, reviewed over 7500 echocardiograms and 5200 EKG's. Our pacemaker clinic now follows more than 250 patients with pacemakers.

In cooperation with Children's Hospital and Clinics-Minneapolis, the physicians of Children's Heart Clinic participate in a large multi-center registry to monitor surgical outcomes.  During the most recent five year reporting period (1995 - 1999) for which comparison data is available, the actual surgical mortality rate at Children's - Minneapolis was equal to or better than the expected mortality rate for sixteen out of eighteen different surgical procedures.
