Please Join Us for The Katkov-Lundeen 29th Annual Visiting Professorship in Pediatric Cardiology
Peter Laussen, MBBS, is the twenty-ninth Katkov-Lundeen Visiting
Professor in Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Laussen currently serves as
the Chief, Division of Cardiovascular Intensive Care, Department of
Cardiology at Children’s Hospital, Boston. He became the first incumbent
of the Dolly D. Hansen Chair in Pediatric Anesthesia, and is a Professor
of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School.
An internationally recognized leader in the field of congenital heart
disease, Dr. Laussen is on the editorial advisory board for the Annals of
Cardiac Anesthesia, a member of the Board of Directors of the Pediatric
Cardiac Intensive Care Society, and is active in the Pediatric Research
Task Force. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications,
book chapters, and monographs. His primary areas of interest include
perioperative management of patients with borderline left heart
structures, stress response after cardiac surgery, neurologic outcome
following cardiopulmonary bypass, and resuscitation from cardiac arrest.
Dr. Laussen will present didactic lecture sessions with ample opportunity
for discussion.
